Melanie Cook started her career as a corporate attorney and includes leading initiatives as a Wall Street Senior Consultant, Senior Policy Advisor to US Secretary of Commerce and Business Development Manager, Atlanta over the past 20 years. In 2016, she launched Veritas Management Group (VMG), a management consulting firm specialized in both public and commercial sectors, academic institutions and non-profit organizations. Melanie subsequently expanded business into professional recruitment with her acquisition of ASAP Talent Services. Together, her family of companies include 90+ employees in 19 US states and 10 global locations.
She co-authored Business Success Secrets, a candid and authentic examination of the best-kept entrepreneurial secrets. The chapter “From ADD to Harvard” chronicles her courageous journey overcoming significant challenges.
Melanie earned a BA at Spelman College and a JD at Harvard Law School. She serves community as Board of Director for Spelman College, National Black MBA Association (Atlanta Chapter); Georgia College and State University, Emory University Rollins School of Public Health Community Advisory Board; and Community Health Charities of Georgia.
