ASAP Talent Services is the leading SAP focused search firm and our SAP recruiting team has been engaged by a client local to Houston, TX to recruit & hire a SAP Project Manager.
This role is to oversee, plan and manage all aspects of the SAP deployment and implementation at our Client facilities. The Project Manager needs to ensure a successful transition of the Client business to the new S4 ERP system and functional adaptations without interruption to the day to day business. This role will ensure Client’s SAP implementation remains current from both a functional and technical perspective. This position requires strong SAP S4 product knowledge/experience as well as strong managerial and communication skills. The individual must have a strong business acumen and executive presence, ability to lead teams through an SAP project and deployment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Developing project plans, work plans, managing deadlines and coordination of project team and sub-team activities
- Estimating project skill requirements, working with business to identify appropriate resources and managing their integration into the team
- Defining and agreeing on deliverables and milestones
- Setting and controlling scope
- Communicating status and vision to management and stakeholders
- Overall team management, including regular evaluations
- Budget management
- Execute change management activities
- Risk management – calling out issues in advance and insuring mitigation plans are in place
- Develop functional area subject matter experts, ensuring their participation in appropriate events and training opportunities
- Maintaining knowledge of SAP products and services and developing a roadmap and detailed project plans that make sense for the Client business
- Participating on and/or leading Digital Transformation initiatives

Required Skills & Experience
- 6-8+ years of SAP experience (preferably more)
- 2-3+ full cycle SAP installations
- 2+ years in S/4 HANA and 4+ in ECC 6.0
- Early career strengths in SAP MM, PP, WM, SD strongly desired
- Experience leading/managing teams and implementation methodology or strategy exp.
- Knowledgeable in all phases of SAP implementation
- Bachelor's Degree (4-year) required
- PMI Cert (desired but NOT required). ASAP Methodology (desired)
