The Opportunity

Join a technology-driven enterprise where integration is mission-critical and innovation is expected. This role sits at the center of a complex SAP landscape supporting global operations, high-reliability systems, and large-scale business processes. You’ll help shape the future of SAP integration—modernizing platforms, mentoring peers, and ensuring long-term stability across both on-prem and cloud environments.

If you enjoy solving hard integration problems, influencing architecture decisions, and building solutions that scale, this role offers both impact and ownership.

Role Summary

The SAP Integration Developer is responsible for the health, performance, and evolution of the SAP integration landscape. You will design, build, and support integrations using SAP Process Orchestration, SAP CPI, and SAP ECC/S/4HANA integration tools, while also evaluating and leveraging capabilities within SAP Business Technology Platform.

This role serves as a technical authority for SAP integrations—working closely with functional teams, business analysts, and end users to resolve issues, enhance existing interfaces, and deliver resilient, future-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support SAP integrations using SAP PO and SAP CPI

  • Partner with functional and business teams to translate requirements into scalable integration designs

  • Ensure long-term platform stability through monitoring, self-service enablement, and best practices

  • Build and execute test plans across unit, integration, and cross-platform scenarios

  • Document integration designs, mappings, testing, and change management

  • Develop and maintain BPM processes and integration frameworks

  • Provide system-wide support for complex, business-critical integrations

  • Mentor team members and help define integration standards and patterns

  • Continuously improve integration performance, reliability, and maintainability

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of SAP XI/PI/PO and SAP CPI experience

  • Minimum 5 years of SAP PO 7.5 and 2+ years of SAP CPI

  • Strong EDI integration experience (X12, EDIFACT) and SAP IDoc mappings

  • Hands-on experience with standard PO adapters (SOAP, REST, IDOC, JDBC, RFC, SFTP, B2B)

  • Experience with Java UDFs, Integration Flows, and Integration Configurations

  • Solid understanding of XML, JSON, EDI, and enterprise integration patterns (A2A, B2B, EAI)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

  • Clear communicator with a collaborative mindset

Preferred Experience

  • SAP manufacturing or supply chain environments

  • NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS)

  • BPM, BRM, SAP AIF, SAP PI NFE

  • SAP BTP Integration Suite and Cloud Connector

  • ABAP development, including enhancements, IDOCs, BAPIs, and debugging

Additional Information

  • Occasional non-standard hours may be required

  • Applicants must be eligible to work under U.S. export control regulations

Why This Role Attracts Top SAP Talent

  • Architect-level influence without being boxed into a single platform

  • Modern SAP integration stack (PO + CPI + BTP)

  • Real ownership of enterprise-wide integrations

  • Long-term roadmap thinking, not just ticket-driven support
