IT PMO Leader
Location: Virginia Beach, VA or Dallas, TX
Position Overview
ASAP Talent Services is seeking an experienced Enterprise PMO Leader to establish, lead, and build maturity in enterprise project delivery across the organization. This role will oversee the Project Management Office (PMO) and drive the successful execution of strategic technology initiatives that support the company’s ongoing transformation efforts.
The PMO Leader will partner closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and
technology teams to ensure projects are aligned with business objectives, delivered on time and
within scope, and executed using best-in-class project management methodologies.
This individual will play a key role in governance, delivery oversight, portfolio prioritization, and
organizational change management, ensuring Initiatives and investments deliver measurable
business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
PMO Leadership & Governance
Lead and mature the enterprise PMO, establishing governance frameworks, standards, and
delivery best practices.
Define and implement project management methodologies, tools, and reporting
standards across the organization.
Manage the enterprise project portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and
resource capacity.
Provide executive-level visibility into project performance, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
Strategic Program Delivery
Oversee the planning and delivery of enterprise technology initiatives, including technology
and operational platform development.
Ensure programs follow the appropriate methodologies as for the project scope.
Drive cross-functional coordination between IT, product, operations, finance, and other
business units.
Manage project prioritization and sequencing to maximize business impact.
Transformation Leadership
Partner with senior leadership to execute initiatives that modernize technology platforms and
business processes.
Support the implementation of innovative solutions, scalable platforms, and enterprise
applications.
Ensure successful adoption of new technologies and processes through effective planning,
communication, and change management.
Organizational Change Management
Lead and support Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies to ensure
successful adoption of new systems and processes.
Partner with HR, communications, and functional leaders to drive engagement, training, and
adoption.
Develop communication plans, stakeholder alignment strategies, and rollout frameworks.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a trusted partner to C-suite and senior leadership, translating strategic goals into
executable project plans.
Provide clear executive reporting on delivery status, program risks, and performance metrics.
Facilitate executive steering committees and governance forums.
Team Leadership & Capability Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, program managers, and PMO
analysts.
Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Identify opportunities to enhance delivery efficiency through improved tools, frameworks, and
automation.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of experience in project or program management
5+ years leading or managing a PMO or enterprise program delivery function
Strong experience delivering enterprise technology programs across multiple business
functions
Experience with project management and governance methodologies
Demonstrated experience with Organizational Change Management (OCM) and enterprise
system adoption
Experience managing complex ERP, CRM, and/or mobile application initiatives
Proven ability to manage enterprise project portfolios and executive-level reporting
Strong experience engaging with C-suite and senior business leaders
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading digital transformation initiatives
Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and modern software architecture
Experience implementing or managing programs related to:
o ERP platforms
o CRM systems
o Mobile applications
o Enterprise data platforms
PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or similar certification
Experience working in high-growth or private equity-backed environments
