Position Title: Bookkeeper
Status: Part-Time, Remote, Hybrid
Location: Remote
Summary
The role performs bookkeeping functions for our client and its subsidiary including accounts payable and accounts receivable. Responsible to maintain financial records, verify all financial data and provide/update financial statements. Bookkeeper ensures accounts are current and accurate, using specialized software, spreadsheets, and other tools to track and manage data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- General bookkeeping
- Provide budget and spending analyses.
- Provide monthly reports and data to the corporate team (as needed).
- Manager accounts payable and receivable.
- Maintain records of financial transactions by establishing chart of
- Maintain separation of program expenses by class
- Balance general ledger by preparing a trial balance; reconciling
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting
- Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling
- debits and
- Post details of transactions, total accounts, and compute interest
- Responsible for deposits, balancing statements and payroll.
- Establish accounting procedures and schedules for effective management of financial information.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, major in Business Administration or related field
- Extensive experience of record keeping and managing operational budgets
- At least five years of executive level support and experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- 5 years of experience supporting a federal government contracting company
- 3 years of experience using Unanet (preferred)
- 10 years of experience using QuickBooks
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Proficient in QuickBooks online
- Proficient in Unanet (preferred)
Salary commensurate with experience.
