SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION
This role is to oversee, plan and manage all aspects of the SAP Supply Chain Mgt. (SCM) module deployment and implementation at our facilities. The SCM Lead needs to ensure a successful triage of the SAP Support Tickets without interruption to the day-to-day business. The SCM Lead manages and works with external resources to roll out SCM features across the business. The SCM Lead initiates new pilot SAP SCM features for new business requests. The Lead trains, mentors and helps other Trainers, Business SMEs on new & existing SCM features.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & Responsibilities
Architect complex business requirements to provide recommendations for enhancements/changes, including recommendations that may involve custom design and third-party products to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Planning, Production Planning, Production Execution and Quality & Safety information technology systems.
Conduct requirements gathering to define solution requirements, and create detailed functional specifications to ensure robust solution designs.
Provide guidance and training to promote the smooth roll-out and user adoption of application solutions.
Facilitate the establishment of standards and best practices to include the cross-functional review and fit/gap
assessment of all requirements, ensuring alignment with system architecture principles
Lead process analysis and re-engineering with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they
relate to the current and future business needs.
Mentor team members in a COE setting including SAP and non-SAP business team members.
Collaborate with Functional Architects and Business Analysts to ensure end-to-end process integration and
Develop, prototype, test and implement solution improvements to increase stability, usability and functionality to enable end users to meet business objectives using SAP; Bolt-On SCM applications.
Identifies training needs and supports CoE Training Manager in the development & delivery of training content.
Train the Trainer sessions regularly and participate in bringing the Training Dept/Business SMEs up to speed on SAP SCM processes through classroom, remote and/or group learning sessions.
10+ years of experience working with SAP Supply Chain solutions with at least 3+ years as a Lead/Architect planning; execution solutions, including integration and development experience across modules / systems, including with at least 2+ years with S4 SCM ( 1709 or beyond)
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Lead and support project initiatives to expand the usage of the SAP solution to improve and expand processes across the enterprise. Mastery of Logistics domains combined with deep understanding of E2E; complex business processes/expertise across the different disciplines within Logistics function and supply chain.
Expected to be up-to-speed with latest releases within SAP Supply Chain Planning and should have desire to further master SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain functionality.
Worked on multiple SAP implementation projects with good exposure to Supply chain business processes in SAP S4 Logistics like Material Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD) , Supply Chain Planning along with Inventory management (IM).
Experience in Supply Chain Planning Concepts and Processes include Designing, Developing, Testing, Implementing; supporting all aspects of the Core Interface (CIF), Demand Planning (DP), Supply Network Planning (SNP); Global Available to Promise (gATP), Production Planning and Detail Scheduling (PP/DS), and Service Parts Planning (SPP).
Should have experience in Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) Best Practices
Experience in SAP Materials Management processes (procurement, inventory management, sub-contracting, Third
party order processing, Consignment, and supplier collaboration, etc. Experience in SAP MM/IM modules and deep understanding of the integration with other ECC modules Production Planning, Warehouse Management, SD and FI.
Has extensively worked in MRP in implementation projects, has involved in Handling Unit Management (HUM) and has worked in
implementation projects in multi company, multi plant environment setup.
Should be possessing expertise in Planning related master data setup in ECC and SCM systems. Also, should have
good Experience in Production Planning/Variant Configuration/ECM (PP, VC) module and with strong integration skills.
Knowledge in sales and operations (S&OP) planning and demand management processes is a huge plus
Ability to balance high customer focus and service attitude with both tactical and strategic long-term plans for the
Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Experience with SAP TM, SAP IBP, GIB-SCX solutions will be a big plus.
